Chris, my niece introduced me to your corn soup recipe and now it’s a staple with my nuclear and extended family. Cut 5 ears of corn into about 2-inch pieces and set aside. I always want corn soup but it was hard to find now that I know how to make it I will be making it more often.

Add the split peas, red bell peppers, sweet potato then stir and season with thyme, chadon beni, black pepper and pink salt to taste. Add split peas and shaved corn and stir well, Add thyme to the pot and saute another 2 minutes. We are making this to serve at our World Thinking Day Girl Scout Event. Make the dumplings by placing the flour and pink salt in a medium sized bowl, Pour the water, in intervals into the bowl while kneading the flour and water into a large dough ball, Pinch off a small piece of dough and roll in the palm of your hands to create a long (spinner) dumpling. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan, over med-high heat. Lower stove to a low boil until split peas is cooked (about 30 minutes) Note: add more water if split peas is not soft enough and more boil time is needed. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

The idea is to cook the split peas and allow everything else to cook-down and melt away into a lovely thick soup. Repeat and lower each dumpling into the pot of soup. Add 3 cups water, 2 cups stock, tania and shado beni to the pot, and bring to boil. Really delighted to have found your recipe, the ingredients are the real deal, and your steps are always so easy to follow (my husband loves my roti, thanks to your instructions!!). Our country is Trinidad and Tobago. I always check your recipes before I cook now.

Sometimes I use pig-tail, and I always use a small piece of Golden Ray. The trick is to put it in early enough for it to cook, but not too early. Are these dry? Shave off corn kernels off of the remaining corn cob. Corn meal dumplings are great in this soup! Do you mean chopped chives or just scallion? 1 scotch bonnet pepper (any hot pepper you like) Add coconut milk, scotch bonnet pepper, and 3 cups water and bring to a slow boil, Make dumplings at this point and break into balls or roll into logs, Add corn discs, dumplings, carrots, and bell peppers to the pot, Add salt and pepper and pepper sauce to taste, Boil until dumplings are cooked (about 15 minutes). , Hey Chris, I am trying this tomorrow, having a birthday lime for my friend/coworker.I know it will be the best dish.
