Nice dunes and beach with a f, We took the four year old and the dog (on a long lead), the pop up tent and a chilly bin of food. Stoppd for a couple of hours on the way from Wellington to Palmerston North. There is no accommodation within the reserve but day visitors are welcome to make use of three picnic areas with braai and ablution facilities and its easy to find a place to stay in Hilton.
