Jimmy Patton was a British comedian who was a regular on hit BBC show the Chuckle Brothers. The Chuckle Brothers were reported to have presented the happy bridegroom with a big comedy ladder, to enable him to climb over the 59-year age gap, and Patton was said to have begun his vows with the words “Do you take me, to you, to me” – a riff on a familiar Chuckle Brothers catchphrase.
